Foxtail Sport - Outdoor Throw and Catch Game (Ages 8+)

The Foxtail, the original throw-and-catch game since 1996, has been relaunched by Cassidy Labs after the iconic toy fell off the market for years following Klutz Press's acquisition by Scholastic. Staying true to the original's quality construction and wholesome roots, the Foxtail Sport and Softie versions remain unchanged from the 90s.

The Foxtail Sport, the original version, features a leather baseball at the end, while the Foxtail Softie, aimed at younger audiences, has a soft, bonk-the-brother-safe ball. The Foxtail LED, a newer addition, incorporates glowing LEDs in a foam ball, making it perfect for evening games of catch.

Regardless of the version, the core gameplay remains the same: spin to throw and catch by the tail. The three-colored tail isn't just for looks, as it's part of a scoring system where catching the color closest to the ball earns the most points. Each Foxtail comes with a game booklet, providing various ways to play.

Foxtail is designed to be durable, with high-quality materials and construction that can withstand years, even decades, of regular use. The Sport version can fly up to 60 yards, while the Softie and LED have a slightly shorter range of 30-35 yards, making them more suitable for younger players.

For those under the age of 8, the Foxtail Softie or LED are recommended, as their softer balls are less likely to cause injury. The Foxtail Sport, on the other hand, is best suited for ages 8 and above, as its leather ball can be thrown farther.
